The purpose of the Success, Health, and Lifestyle website and blog is to offer both an educational and (eventually) product resource that you can utilize to improve these aspects of your life. We will help you sort through the overwhelming torrent of information out there and will recommend products and ideas that can help you achieve your goals. In many instances, we will offer book recommendations on topics ranging from diet and fitness to investing and writing.
In fact, we have just added a new section that will begin listing our many book recommendations that will support your achievement of success, health, and a better lifestyle. We hope that you will check it out.
Our perspective is one of curiosity and life-long learning
Science, technology, ideas, and culture constantly change and clinging to what we have always done or were taught during impressionable times is not always optimal. So we will look for the most up-to-date approaches and ideas.
At the same time, the human body and mind are not new and they have developed for centuries before our modern times, so sometimes the “classic” and natural approach is best. For this reason, we tend to support ideas and approaches that take this reality into account. Thus, we usually prefer exercise with a functional component and nutrition informed by our ancestral past, like variations of the so-called Paleo diet.
Success here is not about achieving the most money or the most power. It is about creating goals and building the steps to achieve them. The goals, for example, may center on a level of financial freedom, solving some sort of problem in the world, or helping particular people in particular ways.
Once you develop your goals, you must figure out how to achieve them. We will explore the means to do so, whether that be investing approaches, improving your productivity or doing a better job breaking down the components to achieve your goals. This includes, for example, developing your writing or negotiation skills. Finally, we may philosophize a bit about how to choose your goals and what they mean in the grand scheme of the world and your life.
Improve Your Health
A healthy body and mind will help all aspects of your life. For that reason, we will explore nutrition and fitness, as well as other health-related issues. Unfortunately, for many years, we have all learned—with the help of the United States government—what appears to be the exact opposite of what we should have learned about diet and nutrition.
We were told to eschew fat for grains and carbohydrates, including sugar (which often filled-in low-fat food items). The science appears to be turning and we will explore some of those issues. We will also discuss different approaches and tools to achieving fitness, which is particularly important in our overly sedentary society.
Enhance Your Lifestyle
Success and health by itself are not enough. You have to live. But how? We will explore that question, with topics that may range from travel tips to philosophical musings on how to live. Your lifestyle should have an intellectual aspect, as you must continue to educate and challenge your mind. And there is great joy in intellectual pursuits, including book-reading.
So we will view the lifestyle component more broadly than the materialistic pursuits that many imagine fill the days of those that have succeeded financially. Of course, that doesn’t mean we won’t search for fun products and gadgets that may be considered slightly more frivolous than our intellectual leisure. Balance is important.

We are not doctors, nutritionists, or licensed experts on these issues. We merely offer our own perspective that includes research and reflection.
